My name is Andrew J Wrigley and I’m an artist and designer from Bolton, Greater Manchester.
I have been doing freelance artwork since graduating from Salford University in 2005, with a 2:1 degree in 3D Digital Design.
Art has been a true passion of mine since I can remember. My earliest memory is of me painting a picture of my family and our home using poster paints and what seemed like a huge paintbrush in my tiny hand.
I would say my dark and quirky sense of humour has always played a part in the development of my ideas as does my subconscious mind. I absorb so much inspiration from everyday life yet ideas have always tended to pop into my head at random, giving me such a huge buzz leading up to the creation of my next masterpiece.
I enjoy incorporating bold, vibrant colour into my images because I prefer art that shouts rather than whispers…I want to provide a visual feast; some may feel nourished, others may want to purge, but everyone should feel stimulated.
